The familial Swabian restaurant at the head of the Geislinger Steige.

The Ziegelhütte Inn has been a part of rural hospitality culture for over 200 years. We are proud of the history and tradition of the entire property.

We are delighted to welcome you to our newly renovated dining rooms. You can also look forward to our large, partially covered sun terrace. We offer a daily lunch specials, hot meals served all day, Swabian Sunday classics, and of course, coffee and cake.

During the renovation, we attached great importance to preserving the spirit of the house and preserving the cozy, family-friendly atmosphere which our guests have always appreciated. Personal and communicative service, as well as conviviality, will continue to be a top priority at the Ziegelhütte.

Dear guests,

Unfortunately, the B10 at Geislinger Steige will be completely closed again from April 7, 2026, until approximately November 1, 2026, due to roadworks.

You can still reach us via Türkeim - Wittingen or via Weiler - Ziegelwald.

We remain open as usual and look forward to your visit!

How to find us

Our inn is located directly at the top of the Geislinger Steige and borders directly on the Alb-Donau district or the municipality of Amstetten.

By train: From Amstetten train station, you can reach our inn in 15-20 minutes on foot.

By car: The Stuttgart - Ulm highway B10, coming from the Fils Valley, passes our inn across the Swabian Alb.

Please note that reservation requests via email must be made at least 24 hours in advance. A reservation is only considered binding once you have received confirmation from us.

As we are currently operating at full capacity, we can often only respond to emails once or twice a day. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your patience.
